How are you coping with the current health crisis, given that one of your Groupe’s business segments is mobility?

The Covid-19 crisis has been a challenge for us – as it has been for all businesses – not only in terms of health and safety, but also from an economic and organizational perspective.
Our operations in the mobility segment, whether it be our taxi booking or vehicle rental services, have had to deal in particular with the drastic drop in travel caused by the unprecedented health situation. Nonetheless, in the year since the crisis started, both G7 and Ada have demonstrated exceptional resilience and an impressive ability to adapt. With our agile teams, successful solutions and robust business models, the impact on our operations has been limited and has positioned us strongly for an activity recovery. As for the self-storage segment, HOMEBOX has posted a very strong performance, once again reflecting the hard work put in over many years.

Straight after the first lockdown ended, your Groupe rolled out specific health-related measures. Can you tell us more about that?

As soon as the virus began to spread in France, we knew that health and safety would be a priority for our customers, especially with a premium service like G7.
We therefore decided to set the example in this area, notably with the help of the global leader in certification, by making health protection a new component of the G7 experience. In particular, we developed vehicle cleaning guidelines with our drivers, equipped them with face masks and hand sanitizer and, in just a few weeks, had several thousand partitions installed between our drivers and their passengers. These efforts were widely appreciated by our customers, as reflected in the excellent satisfaction rates recorded among our account holders in 2020.

How do you see the Groupe in a post-Covid world?

All our activities play a central role in the everyday lives of people throughout France. I therefore believe it is essential to offer services that not only facilitates their lives but also meet our customers’ expectations as citizens of society. That is why we have always taken into account the social impact of our operations in accordance with our business approach. We did this during the crisis, by being there for those who needed us, and we will continue to do it long after the crisis has passed. We intend to contribute to the post-Covid world by promoting more inclusive economic models, meaning those that serve the interests of all stakeholders, by dealing fairly with their partners, for example, protecting their customers’ personal data and, of course, playing an active role in protecting the environment. Because that is also a key focus at Groupe Rousselet.
