HOMEBOX is the self-storage leader in France and one of the most popular companies in its field*. It rents secured storage units with CCTV and 24/7 access to more than 40,000 active customers, individuals, and professionals.

It started in 1996 by the opening of the first branch within Paris (100 meters from Place de l’Etoile). Thus far, HOMEBOX operates more than 110 facilities all over the country, which includes French overseas territories. Since 2014, Homebox has developed international links and now operates several facilities in Germany, Switzerland, Spain, and Portugal.

Our 25 years of experience have taught us how much HOMEBOX's mission goes beyond merely renting storage spaces to our customers. We are at the turning point of their professional and personal life: that can be during moving, a disruption period, or a company development stage. We want to fulfill our duty by providing the best services and customer experience. We are grateful for our customers' trust and satisfaction, and we pledge to maintain our quality level every day while reducing our carbon footprint.




In 2014, we opened four new storage centers located in the greater Paris and Lyon regions and a first facility in Angers. Our 86 sites made HOMEBOX the best-known self-service storage brand in France (51%) in 2014. With one site opened in Switzerland in 2009, we at HOMEBOX firmed our plans to develop in Europe and further afield by signing a lease in Bremen, Germany in 2014. Other projects are currently under review in several countries. 

We constantly innovate by designing new solutions to make our customers’ lives easier. Our website was revamped and an online booking application was developed in 2014, allowing users to book their unit with just a few clicks. A goods receipt traceability system was also designed and rolled out for business customers. 

At HOMEBOX, we uphold a socially responsible human resources policy. Seven of the nine most recently recruited center managers were promoted internally, and six are women.

We are consolidating our leading position by extending our coverage across all regions in France through both directly operated and franchise centers, while deploying our expertise outside our home country. After set up our first site in Germany in  the summer of 2015, we are actively looking to open new centers in Europe. 

Innovation is at the heart of our services. In 2015, we opened our first HOMEBOX Relais Buro Club business center attached to our selfservice storage site in Roissy, France. Equipped offices, meeting rooms and co-working spaces are available, primari ly aimed at HOMEBOX business customers. We have also developed a storage assistance smartphone app available for all our customers. 

And to continue developing the expertise of our staff, we maintain our effort and investment to broaden our training programs to include in-class courses, e-learning, on-site tutoring and more.
